Merry Merry

Happy Holidays everyone! I am going out of town to LA for a wedding right after Christmas, and I will be back in 2008. Go enjoy some holiday cheer, and create those lasting memories with your loved ones. Thanks for reading. xoxo - Rachel

New Soul

Like new mom, Jordan over at Oh Happy Day, (baby Moses is soo cute) Yael Naim is topping my favorites list at the moment. Listen to more here, and check out Yael's cover of 'Toxic' here.

The Human Calendar

I love this quirky human calendar that dsharp posted. To see this calendar again month after month go here.

Made by Girl

Jennifer from Made by Girl sent me an email about her fresh and friendly 100% recycled designer greeting cards. They look pretty bright and fun. I also recently enjoyed viewing a post on her blog about a fabulous Soho Loft. It is breathtaking.

Aesthetic Apparatus

Pretty much everything that Aesthetic Apparatus does is hip and groovy. I have been a long time fan.

Green Business Card

It caught me off guard, I never saw or even imagined this ch-ch-cha-chia business card coming to town. Seen at epromos.

Contemplation

There is something so serene and beautiful about this old nike ad.

Bambini

I am in love with this new bambini collection from Tocca.

Countdown cards

Too late to send out Holiday cards? Think again, what about these cutie-pie Kate Spade cards to bring in the new year? Find them at Cranes. (Thanks Alexandra)

Eye-Fi

My technologically savvy husband shared with me this new bit of technology that I haven't heard before. So . . . all you digital photographers out there, (using sd cards) you may want to take a look at this. Eye-Fi is a wireless card which allows you to upload all of your photos to your computer, and photo accounts (ie. flickr, shutterfly) without even taking your card out of your camera. Presto change-o the Jetsons would be proud. (Thanks Mac)

Siggi Eggertsson

Siggi Eggertsson's work is simply remarkable. I wish his portrait book was still in stock, because I would have to snatch one up, his Christmas ornaments are so cool and abstract, and check out the fantastic Coke ads. (I think just the first one ran) Isn't his work stunning? Go see more of his brilliant portfolio. I think there is a definite reason why Print named him one of the brightest design stars under thirty in '06. I concur. (via Design Crush)

Oh Banana

I just got an email about the Friends + Family sale at Banana. If you would like to get 30% off, and are on the nice not naughty list, email me and I will send you something shiny. (It ends on Friday by the way.) Thanks Phil.

Unruly Things

This little calendar is pretty sweet. Find it here at Sunali Creations' etsy shop. Alyson, the girl behind the greatness of this calendar, and a recent music swap has a fabulous blog called unruly things, which has become one of my new daily stops.

Cool cat

I love the collages my sister created for the in the moment mix. She is a pretty cool cat.

O Tannenbaum

Check out this cool recycled Christmas tree card made by johnsonbanks via swissmiss.

Animal clippings

I don't like the fact that I have a gazillon old clippings, inspirations, and ideas without source names such as this, But . . . I thought these ones were too great not to post today. (As always, if you know the source, let me know, so I can give proper credit)

Flight of the Conchords

My boss at work (aka little ricky) keeps playing clips from this duo over and over and laughs his head off harder and harder each time he hears them. If you haven't heard about Flight of the Conchords, well, here is your chance.

T Magazine

Have you seen T magazine? Well... Jessie from Zesty Perspective spread the word and now I am scouring all of the lovely imagery and films that the New York Times put together within their hot online style publication. Definitely worth a looksy.

Gingerbread Houses 2

Here is a more cutesy look at gingerbread houses, and if you aren't in the mood to make a house, but still want that tasty gingerbread flava, you could always try a gingerbread tree or tower like the last image.

Type in motion

They did an awesome job with this Typolution.

Hand drawn

I dig all types of letters, especially hand drawn. Check out Linzie Hunter's Flickr, because there is just more greatness to be seen. via dear ada.

Laura Ljungkvist

The books by Laura Ljungkvist are quite fun, and it is great to see that she is coming out with a new one soon, called Follow the Line around the world. Looking for a fun and free way to entertain the kiddos? Check out her free downloads for a matching game, dot to dot and other activities.

Modern Gingerbread Houses

Shugah time . . . here is a fresh look at some of my favorite modern gingerbread houses. If you are not in the mood to bake and make, you can still purchase #1 from Red Envelope (via Children's Illustration). #2 CBGB is from Honey Bunches of Trouble's Flickr #3 is from yumsugar via here , #4 is from bellewood gardens. Seen any more modern gingerbread darlings out and about, or made your own? Do share, I would love to see.

Octoscrub

This is the coolest kitchen scrubber I've seen around. Find it here.

David Stark

I enjoy the idea of this holiday card tree by designer David Stark as seen here via Brilliant Asylum. Below is some of David's work from the Target Bullseye Inn Pop-Up Store in Bridgehampton, New York. Oh so glamorous!

Have a great weekend!

I love the styling and outfits of these shots in the most recent Jcrew catalog, especially since it is snowing right now. Time to get a 'sitter so we can hit the slopes!
