I got up early on the 4th to take some shots of hot air balloons. There were lots of pretty ones. One of these days I would like to go to this world famous balloon festival.
ahhh, you really SHOULD go. There is nothing like it in the world. I grew up in Albuquerque and I looooved riding the bus to school and seeing the hundreds and hundreds of balloons in the air. it's AMAZING. But you have to get up SO early and it's freezing cold!! worth it though.
The Balloon Fiesta is one of the most memorable things you will ever do--I highly recommend it! And yeah, ditto what Emily said on the cold and morning, but it really is a great experience.
I live in Albuquerque & went for the first time last fall. It's incredible! You definately should put it on your list of things to do before you die :-)
