I have been making some much needed new play lists lately. What are you jamming to? I'd love to hear about your favorites. Here are a few songs (some old, some new) I can't get out of my head.
I love both of these groups and the video is fantastic. Keith; Lullaby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK3DbYb7ssI Grammatics; The vague Archive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1C7A1DghEQ Enjoy!!
Wild Light's California On My Mind is great but the lyrics may make your ears blush. Depends on your tolerance for the f bomb. The video version is clean ....
so crazy that you posted this because i JUST bought walking on a dream last night from itunes and love it! my other favorites are "listomania" by phoenix, "surrender" by metric and "Dreamworld" by rilo kiley!
I've really been digging Couer de Pirate and Autumn Sky lately, she's like a happier Jolie Holland...check out her music here, at http://www.myspace.com/autumnskymyspace
I just have to add another big "YES" to the loveliness of Coeur de Pirate. When I heard her album a while back, I was so happy to realize it was everything I had been needing from an album for a long time. Also (this may not fit into any of the playlists), in case you don't already know Beirut, I recommend him wholeheartedly (especially if you're feelin' the travel bug :) ). Oh, and when I want to feel upbeat, anything by the Polysics works like magic (their "My Sharona and "I My Me Mine" are awesomely nuts).
Well, NOW I'm pleasantly entrenched in the Empire of The Sun album. Very nice. Prior to that it was Blue October's latest album "Approaching Normal" which is equal parts bliss and disturbing catharsis.
I love both of these groups and the video is fantastic.
