Happy Moments + Have a Great Weekend!
I looked over while fixing some yummy farro soup last night for dinner (recipe from this book
) and our little India climbed up on a chair and started playing with blocks. It melted my heart and I can't believe how time can pass in a blink.
It was a reminder to me how much more I want to cherish the present and those small little moments of joy, something that I need to do more often. I'm working on being more conscious and aware of the details. Putting my bare feet in the grass, really feeling the chilly rain on my face, and checking out the different shaped suds and colors in the sink from the clean dishes.
How do you savor the happy moments?
Have a great weekend all!

Emily Henderson Style
Emily Henderson is all kinds of amazing, I dig her style and wit. Above are some shots from her portfolio that I am inspired by and boy am I looking for some serious ideas as I work on our new space. I still find it crazy random how I caught her season of Design Star a while back because I don't watch tv too often. I was rooting for her the whole time and am happy to see her continuing success. I hope to catch up on episodes of her show 'Secrets From a Stylist' online here.

Music Monday on a Tuesday : Feist
I am a huge Leslie Feist fan and her long awaited album dropped today (yesterday in Europe). This morning I read an interesting interview of her over at Pitchfork that made me like her even more. I enjoy not only the way she sings, but also the way she thinks, she seem so authentic and legit. I will be listening to her new album Metals as I unpack more boxes today. Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Have a great weekend!
Hello! We are still settling in and I am happy to have access to the internet again. I took this shot with my phone while driving 75 mph from UT to CA by the salt flats at the crack of dawn. I love to take moving road trip photos, you can see other trips here.
I hope you will all have a lovely weekend!

Awesome Modern Modular Farmhome
Oh the modern idyllic life, how charmingly cool is this Modular House in Connecticut? The minimalism to me is quite refreshing, especially as we are moving and going through boxes. I want to move right in and raise some chickens. Read more about how Robert Bristow and his wife Pilar Proffitt made this prefab spectacular over at the New York Times.

Is Handwriting Still Alive?
This art project called Ecriture Infinie (Infinite Writing) by artist Bili Bidjocka and curated Simon Njami is one of the most brilliant things I've seen in a while. Bili is compiling these massive gigantic notebooks (8 of them) full of people's handwritten words all around the world. His idea is to create a universal piece of literature that brings people together, his purpose being the process.
Any ideas to what you would jot down? I would really have to put some though into it, especially since Bili wants people to write as if it were their last words. This idea inspires me in many ways, first off I am intrigued about handwriting styles around the world in general, (it is the graphic designer in me) but also people's inner dialog and where they place their values. It also inspires me to restart a handwritten journal opposed to my computerized one.
Thoughts? When is the last time you did something handwritten? Is handwriting still alive?
