Oooh! Thanks for sharing. My mom always had advent calendars for us growing up and I've been looking for some that have a bit of charm- no cartoon reindeers please. I love the handmade paper bag one! I may be making my own.
ReplyDeleteI bought the ones from Nuvonova and they are fantastic! I tied each one to the tree, and they look great and have put the most delicious smile on my son's face.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful, what a nice tradition to start. I like the envelope clothes line in particular.
ReplyDeleteWOW, what great finds!!! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteYou've gathered nice ideas for a calendar here! I especially like the envelopes and the paper bags. My own advent calendar is much more tradional: the advent calendar of the guides and scouts (published since 1947). I love it because it's the only one where pictures behind the little doors match with the picture in front!
ReplyDeletethese are great, I really like the one from nuvonova. Do you think its a little to late to get one now?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... I really like the photo (+ the advent calendar) where the little girl stands on the panton chair!
ReplyDeleteI love these. I really want to do something cool with an advent calendar - I love the bags. Check out this for a really cool advent calendar:

thank you! I was hunting all over etsy the other night for something new... i made an advent calendar that is meaningful, but not near pretty enough... so i'm hunting for inspiration. i, too, love the one with the little munchkin standing on the chair - that's enough to get me going.
ReplyDeletewe also had a FABULOUS thanksgiving month using the Pottery Barn Kids Thanksgiving "advent/countdown" calendar... It was both beautiful and meaningful. A wonderful start to the gift giving to have a month of thankfulness...
Lovely!! This gives tones of ideas!
ReplyDeletei'd pick the top one. it's so pretty and modern. thank you for the round-up, rachel!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of an advent calendar. Can you explain what it is please? :)
ReplyDeleteI realize that this is beside the point...but I LOVE those pink and red Panton chairs!
ReplyDeleteOMG I love this post!!!! So cute, I am actually on a hunt for this completely adorable (of course SOLD OUT) Pottery Barn Kids advent calendar :)
ReplyDeleteThese advent calendars are terrific... and you've inspired me to go to November 1, 2011 to put in a reminder to make my own for next Christmas! Thanks so much!!! I honestly think I might like your sister-in-law's the most...simple, cute, and VERY clever! Happy Holiays!
