Organization and HomeGoods $150 Gift Card Giveaway
Hi readers it has been a while, how are you?! I went off the grid online for a bit and took a long blogging/technology break (the longest ever in 5+ years) it was refreshing and gave me some perspective, but today I'm back to share with you some fun travel inspired kitchen container organization and a fun giveaway. HomeGoods currently has a fun quiz on their website called Stylescope that can help you discover your style personality. They contacted me about it and I am honored to have Black Eiffel classified as “The Traveler Style”. Take the quick quiz, I’d love to hear what style you are!
They engaged me to put together a little project with them with a Traveler twist. While in the store perusing, I wandered into one of my favorite areas the kitchen and food section, which I really think they excel at as a store. I came across some cool and modern simple containers imported from Italy and France and since I’m kind of an organizational nut, I audibly gasped and got excited! Instantly the shot of Emerson Fry’s sweet pantry that I have long been inspired by popped into my mind.
Here is what I came up with for our space. Right now we don’t currently have a pantry in our rental, so rearranging cupboards it is! Most everything in this photo was purchased from HomeGoods except for some of the bulk food items. Although even some of the bulk items are from HomeGoods. Their gourmet and international foods section is stellar, definitely a place to look behind a few bottles and explore. Over the years I have discovered gems including specialty cooking oils and salts directly imported from France, my favorite McClure’s pickles, Ginger Ale, and gourmet vanilla bean paste at a fraction of the price. Also for you designers and packaging lovers out there it is a haven. Last visit I was delighted to come across some Louise Fili designs!
When I came across more pretty smaller Italian jars I evaluated our small powdered, dried goods and spice area. It was a bit of a mess. Tons of bulk baggies huddled together squashed up in a bin, not good people, not good. Along with those I picked up some pretty new exotic and foreign spices that I really look forward to trying out and also using the containers for the future.

Fun! I discovered HomeGoods only last year, but I love it. I am The Traveler with a touch of New Country (it's because I picked the horse, isn't it?) :) This is actually a very helpful confirmation, as I've been looking at doing some style updates to make our apartment feel more like 'me.'

I'm "classic", but I think I'm more complicated than that since the second time I took it, I got "boho". haha. Anyway, I would use the HomeGoods giftcard to infuse my living room with personality. We have so much cheap, particle-board furniture and the ugly, cream walls that come with our apartment. I would love to organize mine and my boyfriend's clothes and shoes so as to make better use of the space in our small apartment!
I took the quiz and got "The Traveler." I would love to add some style to my kitchen and some organization to my bedroom. Though I have plenty of kitchen appliances and tools, there is very little art and items with character, so adding some of both would be very nice. Also, my bedroom is filled with vintage maps and I love how I have decorated the space, however, having a chalkboard and some shelving would be great for making lists and dividing the many belongings of mine.
I love HomeGoods, I can always find something that I "need" for less. The kitchen area is my major weakness.

So I'm apparently sassy with a touch of urban funk. I would definitely love to brighten up our home with some bold, bright color on the walls and in some accent pieces. I've had the same "style" since I was in high school, and it's so not me anymore.

It would be great to get some things for our apartment. We just moved across country and got rid of pretty much EVERYTHING so we are starting from scratch! It is a lot of fun but the costs really add up.

This is my first visit and I find you are a woman after my own heart. I live in a small cabin [20'x24'] and I find everything has to have at least 3 uses to come in the door :-). But you would find many glass items holding everything from flour & pasta's to nuts & flowers! I enjoy the clean lines of glass. My challenge is buying just enough to fill the container since there is no storage. It's all good and I am thankful.
