I am grateful for my shoes.

This last weekend, I watched an endearing Iranian film called "Children of Heaven." It is excellent and focuses on the themes of sacrifice and love. If you enjoy foreign films, I would highly recommend this.

Hmmm...we seem to gravitate towards the same movies. Both movies you mentioned this week are some of my foreign film favorites. I love Rabbit Proof Fence as well as Children of Heaven. The latter makes me grateful for the simple things in life. Really, we could all be happy with a lot less. What else are your favorites? Please email me at stephmodo@gmail.com. Thanks!

This is one of my favorite movies! Another one I love is also Iranian and I think it is by the same director. It is called "The Color of Paradise" But you better be prepared with a box of tissues if you are going to watch it.

I love this movie, too! Such a sweet story. And when I see that little girl, I imagine my daughter looking something like that when she grows older. That same director has some other good movies too, but the titles escape me right now.
