vertical strips

Wallpaper has definitely been the comeback kid as of late. I've liked this entryway since I saw it in H&G, but I think the bike helps contribute to the look. Take the bike away, I just don't know? Thanks to grace from design sponge for showing us the newly posted photos of Chloe's house here.

I watched Lucky Number Slevin last night(FYI, a VERY violent film) and I noticed the incredible amount of patterns on the walls (a lot from wallpaper) I was definately drawn to the design, but I also noticed the lack of artwork. It's a bit tricky to match art work with patterned walls (I'm sure it could be done, but it would be hard) So I guess that's my main reservation about this new trend.

p.s. for an entryway or another small space with a mirror or something it's very nice.:)

I love this wallpaper. Do you know where it is from?

Amanda - I've seen that movie too and I thought the same thing - too much violence, but way cool wallpaper. I'm not quite sure how you put up artwork on wallpaper and make it look good? Excellent point.

Missy:
The wallpaper is by Kelly Wearstler - you know, the fashionista from the show, Top Design or aka amazing interior designer. Her website is KWID.com. The wallpaper is Interior Trellis paper - intreillage. Check out H&G Chloe's house for more info.

Heather:
The floors are the selling point for me. I crave that luxury in my house someday.

Those floors look like heart of pine, which is pretty expensive now-a-days, but in older houses they use to put them in as sub-floors! So,.. one never knows what could be lurking under the flooring they already have!
