Eat Pray Love

I just finished this book, that so many have been chattering about, and I'd have to say that I agree with the masses, and give 'Eat Pray Love' two thumbs up. It is an enlightening and interesting read, written by a very fine author. I like how she is witty, intelligent, and insightful in her writing style, something which is truly refreshing. What have you been reading lately? Any suggestions? I am nearing the end of my other 2, and I always like to have a few in the mix.

I previously posted about Eat, Pray, Love. A good read! I have another suggestion that has received a lot of praise: A Girl Named Zippy. I just loved this book ... totally unexpected. Hmm, here are a few more that I've read recently and loves: The Glass Castle, Whistleing in the Dark and Stolen Lives. All amazing!

Loved this book as well! I'm reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. It's all about eating in a sustainable way - such a good read! But nonfiction so a slightly slower read. Also just read Water for Elephants - about a traveling circus during the depression. An interesting, quick read!

I've almost given up on this book. I can't get into the story... yet. I'll pick it back up and see what happens!

I'm such a sucker for classics... try "Marjorie Morningstar..." such a fun read.

I'm two chapters into this book. I need to make more time to read in the evening! I recently enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns. I know it's kind of a media darling, but it's well worth a read.

I loved this book and am so excited when other people are as touched by a book as me. I found myself getting lost in her world. I've read The Glass Castle, too! I agree with chere amie, such a fantastic read!

I absolutely recommend A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel, and Peace Like a River by Leif Enger.

Thanks for all of your great comments and suggestions. I am going to have to look into them all. Most of the time I find myself reading classics or nonfiction, so it is nice to have some good suggestions to mix it up a little.
