isn't it a beautiful book? i spied it on fredflare a few weeks ago and borrowed it from the library - it's pretty spectacular inside and out and the recipes are all nicely straightforward. you don't need extremely exotic ingredients and most things are home-style japanese food. so yum!
so, yeah, just wanted to chime in that it's worth getting a copy of!
