El camino del Rey

My pops shared this clip with me, and it looks like quite the adventure! It is a mountain trail in the South of Spain (Malaga) built in 1901. (If you are scared of heights, this is your written warning that this clip may not be for you.) There were a few times watching it, I had to hold my breath. Tell me, do you want to go hiking now?

beautiful, I think I would do it-although I 'am a little woozy from watching it! You and your family have a great eye oh and ear(brother's music)!

I can't believe that "path" is still open. In the US it would be closed for safety, at least until they could fill in the gaps. Crazy! I also can't believe somebody was comfortable enough on that path to go that fast, and holding a video camera.

Ah! I'm scared of heights, and my stomach is in knots. Should've taken your advice! How are they not scared that the path is not going to crumble under their feet?!

Crazy! That first hole in the path would have sent me back down the way I came!

Uh, omg, that is nothing short of terrifying! One less place to worry about visiting in the world. Holy crikey!

My first question as I watched it was, how in the world was it built? How long did it take? How many lives were lost to build this? It looks as if this was a dam? And the person who is filming is VERY agile and comfortable with balance.
