Pimp this ride

Although I know they are not so fuel-efficient, I hold a place in my heart for the rugged outdoor ride. Maybe it is the Pacific Northwest origins coming out in me? I would drive the above one in an instant, and perhaps convert it to CNG? I would also love to drive this (new or old). Ahh to dream.. sigh.. (Images from an old Wallpaper*.)

It's that whole taupe/orange scheme that's calling me. Oh yeah...LOVE the orange seats! I feel ya', Rachel.

i have a jeep, i always have loved the way they look, not very fuel efficient at all though :(
i only bought mine because it was a steal. but i've been looking into converting it as well.

My hubby has pined for an old land cruiser his whole life. He says when he's rich some day he will buy one and restore it!

We once owned a late 1980's model land cruiser, which was fun, but not anything like these old ones!

Thanks for sharing!

I have a thing for the defenders...I dream of getting one just for fun, short trips with my crew of pups.

My honey has a 1964 FJ Cruiser...it's a huge part of our life (there are many more pics of the truck than of either of us).

He'll be so happy to see a landcruiser on one of my fav blogs.

Actually the mileage on these particular Land Cruisers is not to bad, were a 6 cyl engine.
Just in case you did not know, the whole roof section will unbolt and come off and the windscreen folds down for even more fun.

This is why I refuse to give up my 7 year old Jeep Cherokee! The last of the model it has all the bells and whistles and so practical! The Queen is still driving her 40+ year old Land Rover~ for a reason!
