Children's Books

Last night at my book club, it was my turn to spotlight some of my favorite children's books. Here are a few that I shared. For more book details click on the link below:

Favorite Children's Books

I'm also trying something new ... check out my "recommended reads" widget on the right. I wanted to share with you great deals on books...Amazon's current deal for brand new hardcover Sparkle and Spin is only $5.99! *Update: I removed the widget, but will update my Amazon list in the future for great books + deals.

I love children's books--have been collecting them since I was a wee one myself. You have some great ones on that list! I especially love the This is... series and all the Rand books.

I love vintage children's book covers. The illustration on them is incredible. It's nice to see these modern books taking a cue from the past!

Hi, great reading. I’ve recently discovered Bayard’s Books which seem to have the right mix of education and fun for all ages: StoryBoxBooks, AdventureBoxBooks, DiscoveryBoxBooks
Also, I see they have a guest illustrator for one of their stories in the September edition of Storybox - award winning illustrator Helen Oxenbury, who also provided illustrations for Alice in Wonderland. They Also have some great ideas for a rainy day! http://www.storyboxbooks.com/potatoprinting.php

Linnea in Monet's Garden was one of my favorite books when I was little, and inspired a love of art as well. What a great book :)
