Project Runway Plays again...

Okay, I cannot get enough of Project Runway... and I guess a lot of people can't either because it is back! The first show for season 5 aired back on July 16th (which I missed). Tell me your thoughts about the episode... are they getting too over the top yet? (via here)

ps. Am I a reality tv nerd if I watch this show and maybe an occasional design star or food network star clip?

Aw, if you lived close I'd invite you over to watch it. it's still on my TiVo. :)

It wasn't too over the top, and was a fairly vanilla episode. They were more introducing everyone than creating drama. There doesn't seem to be any "characters" yet, except there is one kid who is addicted to tanning. He's kind of the "Oh, look! I'm gay!" guy, but he's no christian soriano.

i thought it was un creative that the first challange was one we had already seen before, in the first season. that being said, i really love the creation of the girl that one!

crud. if you're addicted to reality TV with those shows..no looking at my DVR. My addiction at the moment includes Big Brother, Design Star, Project Runway, The Mole, and Shear Genius.

As for Project Runway, I agree that the first challenge was not very creative but we did see the creativity (or lack thereof) of the contestants. I have a few early favorites, but time will tell.

You are what I would classify as tastefully dabbling in reality television. If you start TiVo-ing Flavor of Love, I'll be forced to stop reading your blog. :) I love Project Runway! It was a nice first episode, but I find that it's always much more enjoyable once the playing field has been narrowed down. Half way through the season, the tension will be thick and the 'characters' will really emerge.

Soooo not a reality tv nerd! I don't watch any reality tv, but once I discovered Project Runway... it's Must See TV. It's all about the creativity and creative process. SO fascinating to see what the challenges are and what they come up with! You can't help but think "if that was me, I'd be using double-stick tape and glue!"

I loved the first episode. The coffee stained filter dress was adorable. I loved it! But the raincoat outfit was kind of atrocious. Love your blog. Trade links?

first episode was alright, i thought the designers could have been more creative but i was impressed with the bottom of kellys coffee filtered dress....the "out" contestents garment was hideous but the clips of his work prior looked really nice which was sad as he could have been a top potential....

i hate that jerry was voted off. it should have been stella. sure, jerry's white shower curtain raincoat was tragic, but not any more tragic than stella's garbage bag debacle.
