Favorite Magazines

Ann from stilldottie has a great post about multiple blogger's favorite magazines including my selections. Check it out.

A few more of my favorite magazines (not mentioned there) include Wallpaper, Marie Claire Maison, Elle Decor France and UK, Vogue Living (Australia), HOW, Donna Hay, ID, oh ... truly the list could go on and on.

What are your favorite magazines?

I also like to peek at Selvedge - http://www.selvedge.org/ - utterly inspiring. And because I am nerdy, I love the Economist.

I can't live without Domino and Lucky. I also enjoy Allure and Martha Stewart Weddings. MSW is a great magazine to get inspiration for parties.

Oh, the list of magazines I love is so very long ... Lucky, Domino, Cookie, Real Simple, Living Etc. just to name a few. But, one that I would love to get my hands on would be Real Living (Australia) though I don't know where to find here in the states and sadly subscription is fairly costly.

Real Simple, Martha, Cottage Living, Better Homes & Gardens & People. Lots of People.

Oo, this post makes me excited since I obsess over mags. I read too many. My favs:

-Blueprint (and Living Etc.):
Fresh designs, with plenty of crafty ideas and tips for my low budget
-Nylon:
Edgy fashion + Music. Helps me cut back on other mags since they offer the music portion too.
-Self:
I reward myself for eating good, and working out by getting something that motivates me to keep doing it. Not a candy bar. And Self is so happy!
-Domino:
Yup, what you said.
-National Geographic:
I really don't buy it, but whenever its a choice in any waiting room I just get so enthralled. I've been thinking of subscribing but its so expensive.

I have had a long timultuous relationship with magazines. I've enjoyed (and tired) of a lengthy list of subscriptions over the years. Currently I dig, Cookie, Domino, Cottage Living, House Beautiful, Everday with RR, Real Simple, and MS Living (while the last two can be fairly predictable I still am regularly inspired by something on the pages). I also read People.com as a guilty pleasure.

a couple of my favorite art mags...great contemporary art content and art direction in the magazine itself: art on paper and modern painters.

I've been wanting to subscribe to Living Etc but is it worth the $144 yearly fee? Talk me into it...
