Thinking about Seattle

Sharing some tips with a friend who is headed to Seattle got me thinking about how much I miss the northwest. It urged me to look through some of my photos of the area and I came across shots of the downtown Seattle Public Library. It is a pretty cool place to check out, but then again I love a good library.

This time of year always makes me homesick for the Northwest!

I love Seattle. I've only spent two separate weekends there, but I felt instantly at home in the city.

I loved this post. I am from Seattle but have been living in New York for almost five years now. I always get so excited when I go home and visit! I can't wait to fly out on Wednesday and see the beautiful water, trees, mountains, and of course my family!

We just had an achingly beautiful winter weekend here in Seattle this past weekend, still a few brightly colored leaves on the trees and cool, crisp blue skies... it was one of those great reminders not to take the city you live in for granted! K.E.A. I’d say try to visit as many of the Seattle neighborhoods as your schedule allows --- besides downtown/Belltown --- Fremont, Ballard & Capital Hill are at the top of my list but Greenlake, Wallingford, West Seattle and University District are all worth seeing too… The great restaurants and shops within all the neighborhoods are too many to list --- just wander around and you'll make the discoveries!

The Koolhaas library is incredible - it doesn't matter how many times we visit, or how many times I swear I won't climb that hill up from the waterfront.. every time I'm there I fall in love again!
