We heart Paris

Here are a few glimpses into our first Parisian adventure:

#1 : We are coming back again and hopefully soon.
#2: We never met one rude Parisian, in fact they were very nice. Maybe it was because we always began speaking in French and followed their customs? (We actually had about ten random Parisians ask us questions and directions -- which was surprising.)
#3: The pastries, crossaints, baguettes, macarons, chocolates, etc. are truly out of sight.
#4: It is fun to get lost and walk everywhere. We probably walked ten + miles a day.
#5: I love the diverse typographic signs, impeccably styled and sophisticated people, and beautiful packaging. Mac loves the luxurious and tiny cars.

What do you love about Paris?

i love everything you mentioned. plus i just love the feeling of BEING in paris. knowing all the things that have happened there. the great shopping. speaking french. (i never met a rude one either. probably because i'm fluent in french and would only speak french with them) i love the train stations, metro stops. i love how there is a gap and a disney store on the champs elysees. i love their sandwiches...i could go on and on.

delicious crepes - everywhere. everyone dressed up on the champs elysees. daring taxi drivers. versailles (I know it's not in paris, but it's a must-visit).

ahhh paris . . . the sandwiches served on a single slice of bread, piled with egg, cheese, and salad; the smell in the air; the graffiti -- it's so well executed; the people -- so polite and friendly; the metro -- it will take you wherever you want to go; the courtyard communities -- i would die to live in an apartment in paris. the pace -- staying up until 4 a.m. and seemingly never exhausted.

Oh, I love your photos! I am so glad you both had a wonderful time and didn't come across any rude Parisians. I love everything about Paris! Walking, stopping in somewhere for a chocolat chaud or a vin rouge, museums, history, fashion, fun, parks, shopping, making new friends, romance, riots and rendezvous'! Ccan't wait to hear more about your trip!

Hello! So glad you enjoyed Paris!!!! The photos make me want to go so bad! I agree with you about the French being pleasent & nice! I lived there for three years and not once had a single "rude" experience. In fact quite the contrary! The thing I love the most about Paris would have to be the people. OK, off to dream about booking a flight now! Thanks!!!

You know what I love? How Parisiens park. If there isn't quite enough room to park on the street, a motorist will bump, bump, bump the other cars forward or back until there's room. No one uses their parking brake for that reason. Too funny.

And they're lovely people. Speaking french helps, of course. Whenever my boyfriend and I stopped to consult our map, within a minute or two someone would approach offering directions.

It brought a smile to my face seeing you two in front of the Eiffel Tower. You look chilly but incredibly happy. It looks like you're getting great use out that faaabulous coat :) And you are right, you must come back soon and stay with us :) Have fun!!!!!

Ohh...such a lovely trip!!! You look like Renee Zellweger in your pic with the hat;) Yay!!

I love everything about Paris...the museums, Printemps, the beautiful streets, the coffee, the easy to navigate subway system (that DC modeled their Metro after!)

but most of all...the shrine to St Catherine Laboure on Rue de Bac. Essential Paris.

the incredibly beautiful surroundings. it's like being in a movie, or in a storybook. and the realization that, yes, it is just as beautiful as you imagine it to be!

also, i love the bicycle-riding parisians in cute coats and chic boots. they have great haircuts but don't really do their hair. and as you walk down the street, everything is fragrant... the boulangeries especially!

You two look so adorable and like your having a wonderful time! The reason I love the movie Sabrina so much is because she goes to Paris and then becomes alive! I too am crazy about Paris!
Have an incredible time!

Although I'm french(from the north), each time I visit Paris I feel as if I were in a foreign country, because this city is so huge and offers so many beautiful things to see at each street corner... Paris has many faces, each one related to different historical periods. Take time to walk in the Marais or to visit Le Louvre, too : you'll never find as beautiful...

My boyfriend and I just took our first trip to Paris too (In October) and had the same great experiences.
Can't wait to go back ASAP.

I love the bridges, the architecture... and, of course, people watching in Paris! Panini, crepes, seeing budding artists creating their own work or sketching paintings hung in the Louvre.
My essential stop in Paris every time is the Orsay. What a great museum.
And what a truly magical city.

when we went last month I loved how everyone is always outside chatting and being in the moment ... not just rushing around getting things done.

and I love the cobblestone streets :0) oh and the pizza everywhere ... because that was my biggest suprise about paris, how much pizza is everywhere!

I love everything about Paris. I experienced the same...start in French and the Parisians are very friendly and accommodating. I miss the crepes and the almond pastries...

I love Paris because we honeymooned there, I love the crepes and flower markets, street markets, small cafes with even smaller tables, the Eiffel tower at night, the friendly people and beautiful architecture.

Thanks for sharing your photos!
