One of these years I want to make it to Sapporo, Japan to see the annual snow festival that displays tons of hand-crafted snow and ice sculptures throughout the city. It started Feb. 5th and ends today. Doesn't it look magical? Anyone seen it in person?

I've always wanted to see this too. I remember as a child looking at my Dad's photo's of his time in Sapporo. I was completely amazed at the winter festival. It seemed unreal.

No, but they have something like this every year for the Quebec Carnival, with the International Snow Sculpture Event. Very cool.
