St. Augustine
St. Augustine, Florida is an incredibly charming city. It is the oldest city in the U.S. being founded in 1565. It has walls throughout the city made of shells, charming old homes some that are said to be haunted, narrow cobblestone walkways and street performers, horse drawn carriages, beautiful architecture, museums, and bed & breakfasts galore. It also is home to Flagler college which I posted here.

My mouth is watering at that first photo. What light!
Mmmm, I do love St. Augustine! It's almost as wonderful as Savannah, Georgia! :)
Thanks for highlighting St. Augustine! I work at Flagler College, one of the most beautiful features of the city...a definite "must see." The main building on campus is the Ponce de Leon Hotel, built in 1888 by Henry Flagler :)
I really, really, really want to steal some of your pictures from the trip. Please? Pretty please? Since I was nice, didn't hog the hotel bed, didn't snore, and protected you from Cosmo? I'll give you copies of the ice cream truck...
*Love* the juxtaposition of these superb photographs
I adore St.Augustine. I grew up in Jacksonville, so it was a frequent daytrip destination. A little further south there is a great state park, Washington Oaks Gardens, which is one of my very favorite places. Thanks for posting this! It's like a little piece of home. :)
Fantastic photographs - what a wonderful place, xv.
I love the picture of the doors! Whenever I travel, the majority of my pictures end up being of doors that I thought had character!
I'm here right now! We are performing in Jacksonville right now and are going to St. Augustine on our day off-Monday. Can't wait!
Definitely adding this to my "TO VISIT" file. Lovely!
