Water Carafes

Water Carafes

I remember as a young child sneaking into my great grandma's room while visiting her to play with her water carafe, I thought it was so cool. Here are some more modern takes on carafes. This week with all of the fluids I've been drinking, I really could have really used one on my nightstand. Thanks for your kind wishes, greatly appreciated.

i have a stainless steel water thermos/carafe that i got from Starbucks when the anti-plastic craze hit. aside from making a dreadful squeak sometimes when i open the top... i have loved every second of having it. it keeps so much water and isn't a plastic bottle and it is brown and pretty, i like the stainless one in your picture as well.

I never know how to say this word out loud. I am the only one? It looks like such a cool word, but I am always slightly embarrassed in case I am butchering it and everyone thinks I am completely uneducated. They are beautiful. Its like Mr. Sloan on Alias. He always has uber cool fancy ones. Different in almost every episode.

so sleek--just looking at them quenches my thirst! I had a co-worker who brought that first one into the office---it made the workday just a little more special to sip water those tiny cups!

These are awesome. I remember watching Young and the Restless when I stayed home sick from school at my grandma's house and all the rich folk had water carafes (and, um, pretty glass carafes of booze too) in every room of the house as well as at the office. I thought it was so glamorous.
Me, I just use my Camelbak water bottle and brita pitcher. Definitely nt glamorous.

Hop you're feeling better - gotta love the pass-on cold. These carafes are great, I'm not sure why I don't have one yet, as every night I grab the plastic cup from my daughters room...I think I need to move up to a carafe.

oh rachel so glad you posted these! As you know the plastic bottle is filling the landfills, I was an event the other night where they placed two hundred water botles on the table and then when emptied they were trashed my husband and i took them what a job it made me sad. I too have childhood memories of water carafes and we have one by our nightstand in the evening...we use them all the time!

I am totally getting one(or all) of these! Its good feng shui to have a carafe instead of a water bottle, now if i can just get my hubby on board with this! :)
