All in a Day

All in a Day by award winning author Cythia Rylant not only has a sweet message, but has breathtakingly beautiful art by Nikki McClure. I still can't get over the fact that talented Washingtonian (Go Olympia!) Nikki does all of the above paper-cuts by hand. If you look close at the above photos, all of the hand-cut black space is connected, wow she is incredible. A great overall children's book.

Pretty. Reminds me of "millions of cats" but happier-looking. :)

So lovely and inspiring, like a modern version of Edward Gorey. I'm so thrilled to have come upon your blog and have added you to my blogroll over at Urban Flea! Cheers my dear!

Wow! I didn't know she had other books. I have two of them - one of them being a journal for the baby and another a small cardboard baby book.

I love this book too. I love woodcuts - it is such a beautiful and delicate, yet old fashioned art form. Thanks for sharing!
