Herb garden

Having our herb garden has been extremely fulfilling. Like the other night, when I realized I ran out of dried oregano for a recipe I just walked out on our deck and picked some fresh to substitute in. Fresh herbs make a major difference in cooking. It has been fun to watch the plants grow and they are super easy to take care of. Vienna loves it too, they are great for kids. Do you have an herb garden? They are perfect for small spaces.

Next week I will show you phase 1 pictures of our community garden, which is quite a bit larger in scale. Being our first real garden it has already been a learning experience and adventure, glad we are sharing it with some friends. How does your garden grow?

That would be so nice. I need to start an herb garden. We started a garden of carrots, lettuce, green beans, and something else. My husband planted it, forgot to label it, and walked away. Only one thing is coming up and we don't know what it is!

One of my goals for next year is to start an herb garden and vegetable garden. How nice to have a community garden! I don't think they have such things in Arizona.

I love your little gnome!

We have a garden for the first time this year. My husband built me 2 raised beds, and we have tomato's, peppers, cilantro, dill, basil, okra, onions, cucumbers, cantelope, thyme, mint and watermelon. I LOVE it.

Love the gnomes. I need some of those. I started a veg patch this year and I found I actually needed lots more room than I'd planned for so the beans, peas and toms are in the veg patch along with some leftover seed potatoes that didn't fit in the potatoe bags. We've also got pots for herbs, salad and fruit. So far the salad and potatoes are seriously paying for themselves. We'll do those every year and the carrots are rubbish - only two have come up. I want gnomes though. So cute!
