Paris day 3
Versailles was better than I expected, it was over the top, gigantic, and a bit peaceful all at the same time. I arrived super early to beat the crowds and used the complimentary Rick Steve's audio podcast on my phone which made the tour much more meaningful and educational. (I also used them for the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, just download before you go).

Brilliant! What a gorgeous, historical stop to make. Are you having a hard time adjusting to life post France?
Such beautiful photos! Versailles is one of those places I've always dreamed of visiting....thanks for sharing.
beautiful! I was just there in June and still remember everything from my visit. We also listened to the Rick Steve's audio guide - very educational indeed :)
i loved versailles too + i'm enjoying your photos very much... wishing i was still there.
Love these photos! Especially the sunshine on the gardens -- looks like you had a lovely time.

I've been to Paris, but never Versailles. Now I'm definitely putting it on my list for April!
oh versailles...yes how is life post-france?
I love your photographs!! It's such a stunning place to see in person! Wish I was there :)
The last time I was at Versailles was in 2000 right after the storms and galeforce winds tore the gardens to shreds. I haven't seen them looking that lovely since the late 80s when I was in kindergarten. *sigh* Gorgeous.
your picture of the swan is amazing. this past spring we were in paris for a week with two little kids. it was pretty great i have to say though we did very little sightseeing. next time, versaille.
