Inspiration Boards

I've had a little lapse in creativity and being inspired this week, perhaps it is the post vacation blues? Ever get that? I was just about done taking everything off my inspiration boards when I decided to nab a few shots (with my phone) right before I took the rest down. Hopefully starting fresh will spark some new ideas. Do you have an inspiration board? I'd love to see it. What is inspiring you lately?

Your board looks lovely- I'm especially excited by the fact that you have that old Kate Spade ad with the girl in glasses holding a book. I have that same image stashed away somewhere. Right now I cannot get over the photography of Sophie Van Der Perre. Two of my favorite photos are here (on my blog) http://thatlovelyblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/girl-boy.html
Hope they help!

I'm totally gobbling up fall fashion magazines right now. I love all the deep colors and cozy sweaters.

I want to make an inspiration board so badly, just gotta buy a bulletin board to get started.

I most definitely get the post-vacation blues. It's inevitable.

Don't have an inspiration bored yet, but it's on my to-do list!

fun coincidence - i just started a new inspiration board today. I have a second board that needs to be taken down, but I'm not ready for that yet!

I had an inspiration board in high school, but I guess college, and the incessant to-dos on my list, got in the way. I must make a fresh one asap!

I love yours, even the little bit of it we can see...

On mine:
- train ticket Monaco - Antibes
- old Mortuary tickets I found at the hospital
- picture of my fiance and I on a pier
- pic of birds on a wire
- cute vintage cards of Kirstenbosch botanical gardens
- pic of Greta Garbo

Always good to start afresh We are heading into spring soon - and it's time to start shedding layers. :)

Rachel,
I think you might need to move to France, why not? Your baby is still a baby, live what you love.

I really want to start an inspiration board. I can't find a place to put it though. Most of the art on the walls is from my kids. Mom needs a space too! love your board. I'll keep searching for the perfect spot...

This is something we're thinking about a lot now. We're being considered for one of those TV makeover shows and so I printed some pics of home ideas I liked and shared them with my husband. We both agreed on so many things, but most of all the inspiration board. We might even have two. One for him and one for me. Thanks for more ideas.

Love the vintage map of Paris.

I couldn't contain all of my bits on a board, so I have an inspiration wall (pic here http://coquetteanddove.blogspot.com/2009/08/home-comforts-in-frame-gang.html)

I tacked loads of mini bulldog clips to the wall and they hold single images, or a group of bits and pieces, postcards, tickets, old photos, stamps etc. It's above my desk and I can gaze up at it during a dry spell, or pilfer bits for a collage I'm working on. I love that it changes all the time, and I am toying with the idea of a little side project of taking a photo once a month to track how it develops...

Love inspirations boards! I just took mine all apart and right now it only has the envelope of information I got to serve jury duty.

I will say it felt SO freeing to take it all apart a few weeks ago and just leave it blank for a bit. I'd moved past the things on the board and was ready for a FRESH start.

Thanks for reminding me how my I love collecting things that inspire me. I'm ready again, thanks to your post!

i don't really have an inspiration board, but like to clips some images to string (like a mini clothesline)and keep that above my desk. it's really easy to swap things out. here was the last incarnation that was photographed, but it's changed a bit since then:

Lovely! I want to make a new one, it's been a really long time since I have and it's one of my favourite things to do. I really like the calendar, so to speak, haha. I want to call it a calendar but it just has the number date, half of the time I can't remember what weekday or month it is! I need a full calendar but I really like that one and want it, maybe because it's simple, I like simplicity.
