The new look of Liz

For some reason I randomly came across the Liz Claiborne brand a few days ago (well... I guess they were in the news) and was amazed at the face lift. I've heard a while back about Isaac Mizrahi taking over, but haven't actually seen the looks until now. Below are from the Fall '09 look book and the price points are good. What do you think?

Call me Diane Keaton but I love a fully dressed girl...Fall cothes, boots, tights, sweaters, scarves....not mad about plaid but I love the layers!

I guess between Mizrahi & Tim Gunn, they are really shaking things up over at LC! Which is good - they were in need of a face lift!

Love it! This seems like just the punch LC needed to get back in the game. They had turned so frump-a-dump!

Classic falls looks with some inspired colors and patterns = great news!

Mizrahi is a the designer of our age. When we are 50 they will talk about him like he was a god for our time. thank god he knows how to dress a woman!

These are lovely. I'm so glad to see trend and cut at Liz rather than the frumpy looks I remember them for.

I might be the devils advocate here, but I truly do not think this is line is fantastic. My friend works for LC and she had told me about the whole plaid line and if you are attentive to trends this was last years fad in fashion. It might be a step forward from what they used to have at LC but Mizrahi is not known for reinventing anything new in fashion.

I was just looking at this yesterday, thinking it was a good change. There are only so many neon and pastel pantsuits you can make before it gets a little boring.
