Bits of Chicago...

Chicago

We visited Chicago on Labor Day, and it was in some ways it was eerily empty. We did have a momentary crowded adventure on the "L", but overall it was a breeze to get around. What I love about Chicago is the amazing architecture, the river running smack dab through the middle of it, the wind, and the memory of my husband's marriage proposal. Chicago will always be a special city for us, we love going back because there is always so much more to discover. Next time, we are definitely doing a architectural kayaking tour -- doesn't that sound like a blast?

oh! we were there that weekend as well visiting my brother and sis-in-law and their kids. My question is did you try the corn while you were there? It was insanely good. Midwestern gold.

we love Chi-town! When we lived in Cincinnati, my husband and I would drive up there for long weekends! Love the pictures!

I did notice that Chicago is a comparably empty city than New York or Boston. I visited at the end of June. It was somewhat of an eerie feeling.

I just visited Chicago. I absolutely love it there. Although, I went during Lillithfair, and it was a far cry from empty.

thanks for all the great pics of Chi-town. It's been a long time since I've been there (went to school there) and always like to see the town through other people's eyes.
