The recent road trip helped me start to rebuild my state sign collection... I've always wanted to get a shot of all 50. Do you take photos of series of things? What is in your collection?
Oooh I like that Wyoming one. I may steal this idea! I don't road-trip that often (usually one big one a year)...I wish I had started this when I was little!
that's lovely! i've collected photo booth strips for the last 7 years (whenever we travel to a new place, we try to find a photo booth location) and photos riding on carousels. random, i know, but both are more about the experiences than the actual photos.
you can see my photo booth collection on my flickr set here
rachel, found your site from another blog (which one?...)and felt a kinship immediately. then i saw you were in the utah valley (yahoo! me too!). you keep highlighting my favorite stores and places, and now you post a "nebraska" sign (i was raised there). hello, friend!

You should do a post on all of your signs :)

manhole covers from cities around the world... many are really quite beautiful!
The welcome/leaving brooklyn signs are the best especially the "fuheddaboudit' one

I have a lot of windows, church steeples, and lamp posts, but I've never thought to purpose them as a collection. I think I will start!
I don't collect photos of anything, but used to live in Wyoming and Love seeing this state sign!
I'm partial to photos of old signs and doorways.
