Favorite Halloween Movies

I am a wuss when it comes to scary movies, I still close my eyes when parts of movies even get a tiny bit scary. Here are a few suspenseful and creative movies ideas that we may be watching during Halloween. I also remember watching this movie when I was little, that we may share with our daughter, I will have to preview it first to make sure she doesn't get too scared. What are your favorite spooky or Halloween movies? I would love to hear about them.

1: Young Frankenstein
2: Edward Scissorhands
3: Beetlejuice
4: The Sixth Sense
5: The Birds
6: The Others

LOVE scary movies! These are good ones. I just did a post for tomorrow morning that includes my list of classic horrors from the 50's and 60's :)

These are great choices. An nice mix of stuff that will really freak you out and stuff that's just fun. My scariest pick is "The Shining" but I shouldn't even count that because I never ever want to see it again!

Here's my wimpy short list:

Scream (first one) - campy but still scary!

The Others

The Ring (US) - really gets me. I live in Seattle so I can envision the locations.

Does anyone remember The Watcher in the Woods? So frightening when I was a kid. Not so much now :)

I like to watch "Signs" on Halloween. So spooky. That's about as scary as I can do.

Sleepy Hollow with the handsome, talented, most awesome Mr.Johnny Depp.

"The Others" is one of my favorite movies, not just for the suspense, which is great, but the story, directing and acting are wonderful.

"The Orphanage" (El Orfanato) is another story that I thought was beautifully told and extremely suspenseful, but not really for kids either. Had two scream out loud moments in the theater. Highly recommend it.

I can't take anything scary so I understand the covering your eyes completely! As sad as it is, I normally have to leave because the music freaks me out :)
