Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

Hello, Stella --- I love the European flair you've brought to the Gap Kids looks with your signature refined details. What do you readers think? My favorite item is the duck boots that already seem to be sold out online and are only available in select stores.

Update : P.S. Some readers informed me a few items are dry clean only -- that is definitely a bummer and not very practical for kids. I have also noticed this in the crew cuts line. I understand that certain fabrics are more delicate and perhaps for a special occasion it may be alright -- maybe? How many of you buy 'dry clean only' items for your children? I never have because I have a hard enough time getting stains out of some of my daughter's washable clothes and a larger dry cleaning bill would not be very welcome, at least for us. There are lots of items in the Stella - Gap line that are washable and made of organic cottons, that makes me happy.

Everyone has been blogging about this and I have to say that I really don't mind seeing it over and over again! It's beautiful every time. And these are the type of clothes I would wear!

OK, love the look, but have to roll my eyes that all the pieces I wanted for my daughter are "dry clean only." Staying clean is not her forte, and neither are trips back and forth to the drycleaners for a 2 year old's wardrobe mine...

Oh well, pretty to look at!

The military jacket is adorable! But dry clean only for kids clothes? Uh-uh.

The Gap at 34th and Broadway is a flagship in NY and they still have the shoes as of yesterday. They can do a charge send for you if you want to order them.

Seriously? And she's sticking to her no animal projects thing? Awesome.

That is a bummer about the dry cleaning.

I bought a couple of pieces and I'm super excited. I figure that my husband has 101 shirts that go to the cleaners, plus my clothes, so why not throw a couple of hers in there as well. It helps that I have a great and CHEAP cleaner!

adorable - all of it! though i agree that it's a little impractical for children's clothing to be dry clean only when it will without a doubt be covered in stains.

I'm not a mother, but it seems absolutely ridiculous that the clothing dry clean only for kids. Not only not practical, but sad to me since Stella McC is so eco-conscious with other endeavors. Dry Cleaning is a horrible process for the earth and for your clothes.

I will say though, that just because it says DCO, doesn't mean you can't hand wash or toss in a normal cycle. Silk, polyester blends - I wash allll my stuff!
