Winter Boots
With all the snow we've been getting and with more on the way, I am further drawn to the duck boot trend. Haven't you been seeing them everywhere -- or is it just me? They seem like they would be quite nice for the snow. I like these, these and these, and unfortunately these special colored Sperrys from J. Crew ones (really like the color) are out of stock in my size. How many of sport duck boots or Sorels in the winter time?

I love my sorel's in the winter - Toronto can get very snowy and very wet.
I bought the Sorel Caribou last year and I will never need another pair of snow boots! I wear them hiking, snow shoeing and just tromping around. They are cute with skinny jeans, but be warned they are a bit "clunky!" I haven't gone as far to wear them with tights and shorts, but that's a cute look!
i got the sorel caribous last year as well. i live in idaho and i had never had actual snow boots before so i figured it was about time! i wouldn't call them a bit clunky, i'd call them very clunky, and hence i haven't worn them very much: on the odd occasion that i shovel the driveway instead of making my husband, snowmobiling, etc. once i wore them to the grocery store but i found myself wanting to cross stuff off my list because my shoes were getting so heavy! (maybe that's a good thing though!)
I've been sporting duck boots for the past 30 years!
I actually love duck boots! Throw a cute barn jacket on and you're all set to go!
I bought a pair of sorels a few years ago and LOVE them. I had a pair as a kid and I don't know how I lived without them in the intervening years.
i got mine two years ago from sierra trading post. one of the few places i can get my size (5) at a reasonable price. they keep my feet toasty and happy and dry.
gotta go with the classic bean boots...can't beat the quality
too cute!
Ummm...me! I've been wearing my Sorel duck boots all week :)
I am SO glad you posted this! I brought up this trend with a group of my friends the other day. I was saying how cute I thought they were and that i was wondering where to find some cheap ones and they rolled their eyes and were like, "that's never catching on, Chels" eat THAT, friends!
I'm not sure if you are referring to a special model of Sorels, but my boots are from there and I love them! So lightweight, warm and waterproof, and not as ugly as other winter boots.
I have to say though that I too have been looking at duckboots this winter! Funny, I never liked them before...
