Vampire Weekend - Giving up the Gun

We had a very crazy weekend -- our 3-year-old daughter ended up fracturing her arm and will have surgery and pins put in tomorrow, yikes! In honor of V, I thought I would share a recent video from one of her favorite bands, "Vampire Weekend". I love the tennis theme and the Jake Gyllenhaal and other cameos crack me up. Do you or your kids have a favorite band or songs you like to hear lately?

My three boys are all about MGMT. :) They like Vampire Weekend too. How can you not?

My 3 year old niece is totally into the Bye Bye Birdie soundtrack. That is about all she wants to watch or listen to. This is a welcome progression from her Singin' in the Rain stage.

I am sure the surgery will go swimmingly!

I am so sorry about Vienna. Addie is in love with Vampire Weekend. That is what she likes to listen to so she can dance.

Vampire Weekend is popular in our household too (sorry about the fracture).

"Lisztomania" by Phoenix is a new favorite for my little girl. so cute how she sings the words wrong.

Oh dear! Surgery and pins? Sweet little girl. I hope she'll feel bright and sparkly again right away.

oh no! So sorry about your little one.

We are stuck literally listening to the Sound of Music soundtrack over and over again. My four-year-old even has my one-year-old singing!

sorry to hear about the fracture.

vampire weekend is also my (almost) three-year-old's favorite band- he's obsessed! we've even had him do karaoke (which he rocked) to a-punk and m79. if only our kids could hang out and have a dance party!

I love VW! We're going to see them live in April and I can't wait. Should I feel weird that your 3-yr-old and I have the same taste in music? ;) Hope she's healed up soon and thanks for the fun post!

So sorry about your daughter's arm-- I hope she's soon on the mend! I love that V is a fan of Vampire Weekend... she's got excellent taste! This is one of my favorite songs off the new album. By coincidence I was listening to 'Contra' for the umpteenth time earlier today :)

My 2-year-old has been pretty excited about Thriller lately, as well as Oh Lydia Oh Lydia done by Groucho Marx. He roams the house saying, "gaaaah-booow" If you haven't seen it...here you go...
