Art and Architecture

Flipping through some old magazines I came across this gorgeous Art Nouveau apartment building in Vienna that blew my mind. It is called the Majolikahaus (aka Majolica House) designed by Otto Wagner in 1898 using majolica tiles to create stunning floral motifs. What a gorgeous place this would be to live!

The middle two shots are from the Vienna Secession which also looks like an amazing place to visit. (Thanks Julie!)

If I ever go to Vienna I'm visiting this! I remember studying it in design school. Beautiful!

I believe the second two are from another building, the Vienna Secession, designed by a student of Wagner's. Literally the most beautiful city. I just got back from studying abroad there I fell in love with the city. Dying to go back.

That elevator shot reminds me of the hotel in the movie Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.
