Wimbledon

Did you watch any of the Wimbledon matches? Unfortunately, we missed the incredible final where Nadal beat Federer. Someone told us it was an insane -- a tennis match that will go down in Wimbledon history.

It cracked me up when Kudryavtseva spoke of Sharapova’s fashion sensibility, “It’s very pleasant to beat Maria. I don’t like her outfit. Can I put it this way? It was one of my motivations to beat her.” Ouch.

Muji NYC

"It's about designing your own life – not someone else's. It's a belief that simple is better than complicated. And it's the knowledge that real simplicity is always the result of openness and honesty."

The above statements define what MUJI is all about. Ever since I walked in to one of their stores in London a few years back I have been craving to step foot in their Japanese minimalist inspired store again. In November '07 Muji launched their first full U.S. retail store in the New York City Soho neighborhood and in May '08, the second 'Times Square' location became their new U.S. flagship. Since I haven't got their quite yet, my doll of a sister-in-law took some shots for me. Thanks Melissa.

Wii Fit

For my hubby's early birthday present he wanted a Wii + Wii fit. After searching high and low we found one, and have been having a blast ever since. The amazingly engineered balance board you stand on measures and records your weight loss progress, your BMI, and has been helpful in sharpening certain aspects of my yoga form. We know it is not a one stop place for exercise, but it is fun, and if you let it, your balance, strength, and flexibility can improve. I hope we don't look too cheesy doing it. Are we tech geeks or what?

Air Balloons

I got up early on the 4th to take some shots of hot air balloons. There were lots of pretty ones. One of these days I would like to go to this world famous balloon festival.

Muxtape

Have you heard of muxtape? It is a simple, and colorful website that allows you to create and listen to various mp3 play lists. Go ahead... give it a whirl, click on a user name and up pops their play list and each full length song will play (no 30 sec. gimmicks here). This is one of those go with the flow type of sites... if you go looking for a specific song that could be pretty tricky.
