Stuff I do -- by guest Micah Heiselt

I have to admit that I am feeling a bit under-qualified to be doing this, but Rachel asked me to share some of my projects. So, here are some things I’ve done this past year.

Here is a toy box that I made for out of a big, simple wooden box that my uncle gave me. You can see the whole process here if you wish.

This is a branding campaign for my son’s 1st birthday party.

A budget Valentine’s Day card for all those people who leave a heart-decorated paper bag on their desk.

And, some stencils that I painted on the walls of our new apartment.

Thanks for obliging me.

Guest Blogger: Micah Heiselt

I am happy to introduce guest blogger Micah Heiselt this week! I knew Micah from college, as we were both in the graphic design program. I always admired Micah for his thoughtful and meticulously executed projects and his immense attention to detail. I will also always remember his super creative Halloween costume. It is one of the best I have ever seen in person. (Hopefully he will share that with us this week).

Other things I know about Micah:
He currently lives with his wife and adorable son in New York.
They previously moved from Hawaii.
Him and his lovely wife just ran a marathon in under 4 hours!!
He just turned 30 this week!

Welcome and Happy Birthday Micah!

Happy Autumn Weekend!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and leave you with this most lovely wedding that Chelsea shared. It is the epitome of the perfect autumn event! See more photos and source list here. Time to go get some apples. crunch. (images from Once Wed + polaroid from Frolic)

ABC's for baby and me

I pre-ordered these two beautiful books ABC3D and Charley Harper ABCs (a board book) months ago, and yesterday they arrived. (yay!) One is for me and one is for V, and I would highly recommend them both. Tell me about well-designed ABC books you've seen around.

Sponsor Spotlight: Little Brown Pen

I am happy to spotlight my newest sponsor on the left sidebar, "Little Brown Pen". How many times have you needed a card, tag, or stationery that was super cute without having to run to the store? I know I've had many of those last minute "ahh... oh no...what do I do?" moments. Little Brown Pen puts that problem to rest by selling user-friendly affordable printable templates -- just click and print your worries away. Check out their über stylish variety. The designer Nichole also has a blog that is very delightful. Thanks Little Brown Pen, j'adore your products.
