Project Runway Season 5

At the beginning of this season's Project Runway I almost stopped watching, being dis-enchanted with lame and repetitive fashion challenges and lack of connection with the designers. But, as I checked back, I got more excited about what some designers were creating. The season finale showcased the collections of Kenley, Korto, and Leanne, sharing interesting and unique elements within each of their lines. Who was your favorite 'Project Runway' designer this season? I won't spoil the winner if you haven't watched it yet, but it was her. She was also recently spotlighted here. I am anxious to see how all these talented ladies evolve over time.

ps. What are your favorite shows, or do you even watch tv? I have on and off mixed thoughts about watching television. Lately, I find myself becoming more selective in what I view. I am experimenting with turning off my 'tv show groupie mode' by skipping episodes, pushing the FF button, and watching only things that inspire and uplift ... the idea of less is more. What are your viewing patterns and thoughts?

wow the Leanne one is great...i love it!that's a pity I can't watch it (or maybe just don't know which channel and what time)

Nooooooo!! In Canada, the episodes of Project Runway are weeks behind what they run in the States. When I watched it Monday night there were still eight contestants. This was a total spoiler! Arrrggggghhhhh!

I don't watch PR - actually, I don't watch any reality shows. DVR has become my friend - I resisted for a long time, thinking that if I really wanted to watch something, then I'd be home for it. However, I've found that I watch less and can be more selective about what I watch. I am personally drawn to shows that are an escape from reality - like Lost, Fringe, 30 Rock... The Office is an exception I guess. :-)

I love those Leanne pics you've chosen. Really gorgeous and romantic. I don't watch too much tv but I'm loving Brothers and Sisters. I'm a great fan of Sally Field.

I loved Kenley's line oh so much... I was shocked by the winner. I did NOT see that coming. She was last for me. Le sigh.

ditto on the pushing daises - it was such a refreshing show at first. Maybe it will pickup - my fingers are crossed.

I've recently discovered an old bbc drama called 'State of Play' which is brilliant. I hope it's available to buy/rent in the US, there's nothing worse than suggesting something which isn't easy to find.

I watch complete trash... but that's what I want out of TV. I like Gossip Girl and The Hills. But I seriously watch PR, Top Design & Top Chef. I also like Lost and Mad Men.

Actually the only show we watch is project runway, and now that it's over, we'll go back to movies. We are netflix junkies and always have a movie to watch.

Though these days we're online quite a bit at night as we keep on top of the economic debacle.

I love PR, but I have to say my favorite right now is the Rachel Zoe Project, it's so, so good.

I've been on a TV downer too, BUT... CBS has put out a couple of shows that are turning me around! The Worst Week and The Ex List are both hilarious and new. If you're in the mood for something funny and refreshing, I recommend these!

Deedee... bummer I am very sorry. I didn't know that Canada was on a different viewing schedule. Unless you clicked on the link, you still won't know who won eh?

Rachel, I haven't clicked the link so at least the winner is still a mystery! As long as no one tells me who wins America's Next Top Model, my guiltiest viewing pleasure. Tyra's crazy as a bag of hammers and I love her for it!

I will admit it....I love tv. And I have a netflix account, I go to the movies regularly, and I spend a good amount of time online. Yet, I spend a good amount of time with friends and family, and doing lots of uplifting things. I have had this conversation with myself and others and to be honest I hope in the future to cut back a lot on all of these "distractions." I don't feel like I can totally be uplifted daily with all the chaos, but I am an actor so I guess some of what I watch is motivated by my love for that. This will be an ongoing decision I guess.... Thanks for making me think!

I'm a big PR fan. Korto was the fave for me this year and I thought her collection was beautiful. I was happy to see a all girl finale for a change.

I love crime dramas! Bones, Monk, Psych (more of a crime comedy), and the new series The Mentalist, and Fringe. I can't get enough!
And Pushing Daisies!

I can hardly believe it, but all of my recent favorites are reality shows. Yikes!! But just the good ones, like PR and Top Design. A couple of guilty pleasures are, America's Next Top Model, and Ghost Hunters on SciFi.

Korto was my favorite, but I was impressed with them all.

I watch way too much television, but I do think it inspires me. I love the creative competitions on Bravo: Project Runway, Top Chef and the profile shows of creatives like Rachel Zoe and Flipping Out.
I pretty much skip networks with exception to 30 Rock. Oh--and Mad Men and Gossip Girl are my stylish dramas.

Love all the design shows too, Top Design, The Stagers, Divine Design
Mad about mad Men!!

actual TV, we only watch HGTV, and once in a while the news. But we always watch Heros and The office online. And will be watching Lost soon! woot woot! Used to just rent the dvd's and have marathons. Now I'm caught up on all the best shows. I miss the dvd's. Waiting a week is such a pain, and now I'm ADDICTED to Heros and Lost. sigh...
