One Sweet Airport

Our layover at the Dallas Fort Worth airport (on our way to Europe) surprised us with options like an Ipod vending machine, Au bon pain, and L'Occitane and also an Express Spa.

I saw one of those ipod vending machines in New Orleans and at a grocery store in San Diego - how high-tech!

I was through Heathrow earlier this week, and I couldn't believe the shopping: Burberry, TUMI, BOdy Shop, manicures, and all sorts of other high end shops. Too bad it was 5 am and I was dead tired.

I don't know if you haven't flown in a while, but these offerings (and more) exist in most major US airports now...

Hi anonymous - I love how a lot of airport have fine offerings. I was specifically excited about the ones I mentioned. I did not realize until recently that Au Bon Pain is in multiple airports(besides NYC + DFW), that there is a growing number of apple vending machines, and L'Occitane is an incredibly global company. On more recent airport visits, I have been occupied with my toddler, and haven't had long layovers.
