Monopoly Repackaging

Wouldn't it be lovely to play a game of Monopoly packaged like this? Andy Mangold a graphic design student with a wonderful sensibility redesigned the monopoly game, I assume for a class project. Hmmm... makes me want to go play a game right now. I am curious to see his design of the game board too. Hasbro should consider taking their style in a new direction, no?

wow... that is a very aesthetically pleasing game... in one swoop effortlessly timeless and modern. it reminds me (not necessarily in the design, but the idea) of the "classic" version they put out of games where the game is packaged in a wood box with vintage style pieces.

even though i would never play it, i would definitely purchase monopoly if i saw it packaged that way... it's beautiful! i think hasbro has gone completely in the opposite direction though; now you don't even count paper money, you use a little fake credit card that calculates everything for you. gross.
