Happy List...

Here are five things that made me happy this week. What about you -- what made you happy this week?

Last night we finished this book and started this book for our book club.

I mentioned it earlier -- but I have really been enjoying these Peonies all week long.

Peonies

On a stormy night this week, I combined a few recipes on hand and made some yummy Stroganoff.

Consciously paused and played, something I really want to do that more often. Our daughter is such a ham as you can see below eating an ice cream cone after swimming. We did lots of fun activities this week -- soccer, crafts, trips to the bookstore and multiple stops to get more ice cream cones.

Also thanks to some twitter friends I found out I am in July's issue of Lucky Magazine this week.

Have a most wonderful weekend my dears!

My happy things this week: my garden surviving its first week in the ground (a feat for my black thumb), free admission to a state park, and finding the perfect piece of furniture for my office. Hope you're staying dry on this wet weekend!

aw, she looks adorable!

This week being linked to by Gala Darling made me happy.

Reading the Fire Starter Sessions by Danielle Laporte has given me confidence and it makes me happy!

My boyfriend was supposed to be away at a conference this weekend, and it was cancelled, which secretly makes me happy. I see this weekend as a bonus weekend with him! :)

I love your blog and have been reading for a while but had to comment when I saw you were going to be reading "Crossing to Safety"! It is one of my all-time favorite books - I've read it more than five times. It's such a beautiful story of friendship. I hope you love it too. And peonies are my favorite!

Love the idea of a "Happy List" and what wonderful things to be happy about--good books, beautiful flowers, yummy food, and happy children! Might have to barrow that idea.

For some reason I'm crazy about peonies this season. I saw an orangey one for the first time (on a gardening blog) and had to post it on my my blog. You can see it here:

Enjoy!!

Yum, yum and yum.

Glad you are loving the peonies too--did you find yours at Costco too?

Oh, and you won't regret reading Crossing to Safety--glad you ended up choosing it for the club!

I'm a new reader, but just have to tell you how much I love your Happy List..we do have so much to be grateful for, don't we? I would love to do something like that myself..as a fairly new blogger, I haven't set up any regular projects yet. Of course, I would include your link to credit you with the idea, if that's okay with you.

Congratulations on getting into Lucky. I'll have to go to Chapters and have a peek...

Lovely to visit with you...I'll come back again...

Hello again Rachel:

I came back to tell you that I'd posted a mini happy list of my own on my page, and listed your link as my inspiration. Hope that's okay. It is always a good thing to count our blessings! Thanks for shaing yours...
