Abstract Gardens

These stunning Garden Abstractions by Yolanda Sanchez are breathtaking. I love the part of her artist's statment which says,

"My work, in general, is a search for re-enchantment, for a way to reach below the surface of things, to find that point of connection with life.  I want to engage the viewer in a sensory experience, one that is un-camera-like, un-computer-like.  My goal is to nudge the viewer into a deeper experience of the present, where the “circumference of self” is dissolved - to provide a moment of contemplation without literally telling a story."

See more of Yolanda's work here.

I WISH I could paint. Well I can, but not well. Thank goodness others are brilliant at it!

these are beautiful!
when i was younger i didn't really appreciate or understand abstract art. now that i'm older, i've grown to love and enjoy a lot of them.
and these ones are no exception. i want one!

I have a big empty space above my sofa. One of these would be beautiful there.

Wow, I love it when artists take a different approach on subjects, it makes you think more about what they've painted. These are stunning!

Wow, these are really pretty...I like that the floral isn't so in your face but you get what the picture is. Great colors!

I LOVE these. I was recently looking as some pictures of my flowers on the computer screen and zoomed in so they were all pixelated, I loved the gradation of color in tiny dots and boxes. I was really inspired to translate them into art somehow, and I hadn't figured out how yet, these painting do just that! Thanks for sharing.
