Music Monday : Wild Belle
A Brooklyn based brother/sister duo called Wild Belle just popped up on my radar. Have you heard of them? The word on the street is that are making a great splash at SXSW and it seems like sibling collaborations are the 'it' thing going on these days. Well, off the top of my head I can only think of one other but it is a favorite of mine, any others you can think of? Would you want to rock it out with a family member? It could be really cool, no? For me personally, rockin' out with my brother Jake would be rad because he is already a rockstar.
Wild Belle is sure slamming down some Psychadelic Reggie Rockin' tunes that I am all over. Can't wait to hear more from them.

The track called Take Me Away is also nice, so far these are the only two I've found from them.

Cowboy Junkies was started by siblings ... Margo, Michael and Peter Timmins. The Carpenters were brother and sister. I thought that Jack and Meg White of the White Stripes were siblings, too, but trusty Wikipedia informs me that was just a rumour they encouraged. However, it must be remembered, that the Partridge Family were not, really, a family. Any others?
I've been begging my brothers for over forty years now to start a band with me ... I'm starting to think it's not going to happen. But yes, it would be cool.
i laughed to elizabeth's comment so much! :) don't ever give up on that, girl!! this is an amazing song. cocorosie are sisters and dido has pretty famous brother - rollo from faithless, they're not in a band, but they've worked together. there are two brothers in blonde redhead, whole bunch of brothers in jackson 5 and teagan and sara, of course.
i could not be in a band with my sister, because we'd probably kill each other. i mean - we love each other, could not live without each other, but if we're too much together, clouds start gathering...
