THOUGHT:
I consciously try to absorb and be influenced by many of my experiences, so the idea of influence and being influential is important to me. My entire vocabulary, you might say, could be analyzed as a series of influences. The idea is being in the stream of artistic ideas, as someone who sees himself not so much as somebody who has private vision but rather who wants to participate in disseminating ideas. - Milton Glaser
