Organize it

I grew up with a super organized mother, so I think it is in my genes to want things organized, uncluttered, and pretty. Happily, the mailman brought me some new shinny xl magazine files from the container store to help me keep zines together. I think my next purchase from the cs may be their handy ribbon organizer, unless you know of a better one?

I second your idea. A ribbon organizer is a helpful indulgence.

I really want to get one of their recycling stations!

My favorite way to hold spools of ribbons is a free standing towel holder.

Martha Stewart Crafts has a great organizer as well. Bonus: it comes in three fantastic colors. I am not sure how much CS's box is but the MS one is $17...not too shabby! Available online and in Michaels Arts & Crafts stores. I miss Container Store...walking into one is so much better than shopping online. Aahhh...

I love the idea of a paper towel holder Jordan, and stephmodo and gjelly - the Martha one looks fabulous too. Thanks for all your comments.

Based on this post, I went on a ribbon-dispenser hunt here in Toronto (where we have far fewer, and more expensive, shopping options than in the U.S. *sigh*) I found a terrific plastic one - not as pretty as Martha's but I suspect more useful; it has a second compartment on the bottom which I use for the many ribbons I buy by the metre and which are therefore not on a roll. thanks for the inspiration!
