Travel
This weekend, my mom shared with me these inspiring ideas on how to preserve travel memories. Today and tomorrow I am getting ready for our upcoming trip to Philadelphia + NYC + Upstate NY which makes me have travel on my brain. What are your favorite travel tips?

take the Hartin House "extended" tour- well worth it!
Westville in NYC's west village is great. Their East Village location is a bit bigger and can fit bigger parties of people. Great food.
Pack a small packet of 'wet wipes' that you can keep in your handbag. You know that when you need to wash your hands, you won't be able to find a bathroom.
Also, take some postcards of your hometown along so you can write your details on them to hand out if you meet some people you want to keep in touch with.
have a fun trip! i love the ideas of preserving your travel memories that your mom gave you...we're off to paris again in the fall--any ideas of little places you like or heard are good?
If I don't keep my travel journal as I go, I ultimately never get to it (it's been nearly 2 months and I haven't organized my pictures!). Here are a few pages from my last trip. Not only is it a useful keepsake, it also becomes a work of art :) . . . as for my pictures, I plan on trying blurb.com or lulu.com to make a book!

Beautiful post on traveling!!! Thanks for sharing it.
I hope you have endless good times in Philly!! Whenever possible, I try to avoid "comfort food" chains like Starbucks and Cosi. those are my standard spot when I travel alone because they feel like home. But it's better to push yourself and try the unexpected. If I find a place I like, I always collect a menu, a postcard whatever. My boyfriend and I pick up a post card from each city we visit and our collection has inspired our entire wedding! Stay tuned, I am going to post photos of our diy invites soon.
i just finished a 10 month trip with my husband. take a look: www.ewers.biz
my travel tip: find a way to see the world - it will change everything
