Dig It now playmix

I have been making some much needed new play lists lately. What are you jamming to? I'd love to hear about your favorites. Here are a few songs (some old, some new) I can't get out of my head.

Dig It Now Mix:

Walking on a Dream by Empire of the Sun
Luisa's Bones by Crooked Fingers
Headphones by I'm from Barcelona
Furr by Blitzen Trapper (video shared here)

Other mixes in the works: (if you have suggestions for...)
*Always sounds better in French
*Up the beat & mood
*Pop goes the party jazz

Wild Light's California On My Mind is great but the lyrics may make your ears blush. Depends on your tolerance for the f bomb. The video version is clean ....

I just made a mixed CD of Springtime Tunes- isn't it fun to have a theme as you arrange your favorites? Here's the playlist:

Check out Benton Paul's song Paris for your french mix. The chorus is in French. It's beautiful.

I just have to add another big "YES" to the loveliness of Coeur de Pirate. When I heard her album a while back, I was so happy to realize it was everything I had been needing from an album for a long time. Also (this may not fit into any of the playlists), in case you don't already know Beirut, I recommend him wholeheartedly (especially if you're feelin' the travel bug :) ). Oh, and when I want to feel upbeat, anything by the Polysics works like magic (their "My Sharona and "I My Me Mine" are awesomely nuts).

Well, NOW I'm pleasantly entrenched in the Empire of The Sun album. Very nice. Prior to that it was Blue October's latest album "Approaching Normal" which is equal parts bliss and disturbing catharsis.
