More tears for closing magazines....
Sad, sad ... 4 Conde Nast magazines are closing. Two of my favorites Gourmet and Cookie will be closing as well as Modern Bride and Elegant Bride. Read more about it here. (via a cup of jo)

please say it isn't so - I love all these mags, they inspire me everyday. What's Fall without a good glossy to curl up with by the fire?
This just makes me so sad. I love Cookie magazine. First Domino now Cookie! Come on!

I wonder what will happen with the Epicurious website - a lot of their recipes come from Gourmet magazine...

When I heard about Gourmet today, I literally felt my heart break.

I only hope that when the economy betters we will see some of these come back to life if not with these specific titles, then ones in the same spirit.
This is so sad. not only for the readers of those magazines, but for the writers/editors that now have to find new jobs. I really hope everyone of them finds a place to work that they really love soon.

I can't believe it. At least we still have Bon Appetite. Hard to believe Gourmet has been around for 68 years. What a loss.

Cookie is so good! I get it shipped to Norway, and it´s the only 'family'-magazine I feel is relevant out there! Intelligent articles and beautiful illustrations- Oh, and the kidsfashion-photos! Amazing! Why!?!
