Laboratorium

These ideas and designs are smart. Created by Laboratorium.
#1 : Polaroid box frame - (I am still boo-hooing about no more polaroid film.)
#2: Sticky calendar - This would be cool to stick anywhere.

Rao's

I made lasagna the other night, and this Rao's sauce is da bomb. It is the next best thing when I can't get my fix from my sister-in-law Holly's delicious homemade marinara. What is your favorite store-bought sauce?

Jacob + Tysha

I keep a stash of my favorite wedding invitations that I have received over the years. Jacob an old fellow design student/friend got married to Tysha last year and I just loved what he designed. I wish I could show you this one in person, up close, it is beautiful. Check out his other design work, it is awesome.

May I come over?

Very sweet interior spaces from House to Home via Bueller Designs.

Anna Wolf

I am currently charmed by Anna Wolf's new work. Her little books are also great eye candy.

Matt Costa

Have you seen this clever music video by Matt Costa? I love et. It inspires me to want to take a trip to San Francisco. Any suggestions of where to go?... what to do? Thanks for the introduction Angela. (image from Rolling Stone)

Bo Bedre

I am digging the magazine Bo Bedre lately. This modern zen home's color palette is black and white; it looks minimal, fresh, and cozy all at the same time. (from Bo Bedre)

Karen Wise

I love all the elements of this Hampton wedding that Karen Wise photographed. She has shot so many great weddings, go see more here.

Jacob Hashimoto

How neat would it be to have one of these in your yard? Jacob Hashimoto is the artist behind this work as well as some other amazing installation pieces. (via labourofheart)

Bicycle Wedding

The Bedlam of Beefy shared this delightful bicycle wedding that I am still thinking about. The cinematography (the clip sometimes doesn't work) is beautiful and was created by Josh Goleman.

Penguin mugs

I found these mugs and thought they were pretty cool, they have all different kinds of Penguin inspired stuff here.

Money

Along with collecting paper ephemera, and stamps, I like to collect money. (Perhaps this idea came from my mom, because she has quite the European money collection.) Whenever I travel outside of the U.S. I have this little checklist of #1: get stamp in my passport (even if they don't do it regularly, oh I've got some great stories about foreign consulates) #2: pick up some local paper currency and #3: find some local stamps.

Like stamps, money is a unique way for countries to express their culture, art, and nationalism, and it is usually done so incredibly beautiful. Look at these gems that my friend recently brought me back from Cambodia. He brought lots of various kinds and even some that aren't supposed to exist. Thanks Gavin! I have found this shop on ebay a fun place to peruse.

Marion Cotillard

I did not watch the Oscars but heard that Marion won best actress. Yah! I talked about her briefly here, and her dress above (worn at another event) is quite lovely. She seems to be so sincere and charming, which is very refreshing.

Spring are you coming??

Is it just me, or does it seems like it is taking extra long for spring to get here this year?

Butterflies

A while back, I posted about Tracey Bush's butterfly art and it has been lingering on my mind ever since. So... when I saw this great butterfly project over at Ali Edwards' site I decided maybe it is time to get a little crafty. Perhaps, I'll give it a whirl this weekend. She explains all the details of how to create it here.

Essimar

I meant to talk about Essimar much earlier, because she is down-right A - mazing. She creates handmade delicate collages with precision, and beauty. See more at her website, her etsy shop, and her blog all very creatively inspiring.

Ciao Bella

This stuff is beyond delicious. Have you tried the Blood Orange Sorbetto? Or any flavor for that matter? Mmm.

M is for Modern

Although I haven't seen them in person, these modern kiddo flashcards look pretty hip.

Matisse Inspired

Isn't this a great Matisse inspired photo shoot? I found them in my files, I think they are photographed by Cecil Beaton, but unsure?
