Music Monday : Mumford & Sons

Mumford & Sons

I am feeling a little folksy this morning and with their millions of music videos views on youtube, I'm wondering if you've heard of the British folk rock group Mumford & Sons ... have you? Well, here is a little ode to the banjo to kick of Music Monday. If you want to hear the banjo rock out some more -- check out this clip.

Mumford & Sons are great! As are a frequent tour-mates of theirs, Johnny Flynn and Laura Marling...check both of these artists' out, too! (Laura's more Joni Mitchell and Linda Thompson, though)... If you like M&S, you'd probably dig The Avett Brothers, too (if you don't already know them).

They're soooo good! They've also made me fall in love with the name "Mumford". Would my possible future son loathe me if I named him that? Hmm...

I'm glad you all like them. Off to check out some of your recommendations, thank you!

Mallory - I've never thought of the name Mumford before? mmm... it has a nice ring but the only concern would be perhaps what it gets shortened to -- they could start calling him MUM?
