Music Monday : Classical Style

I've been listening to a lot of classical piano lately and I remembered the Music Animation Machine probably due to today's architectural post that reminded me of the beautiful blocks of color. What are your favorite classical composers and pieces? Recently, I've been drawn to Debussy and Schubert.

Good Question. Sergei Rachmaninoff, piano concerto no. 2 in C minor will always be my favorite. Also a big fan of Camille Saint Saens.

Mozart, Le Nozze di Figaro is my favorite, a very funny opera. Beyond this, all his works shine. Next fav composer is Beethoven, with fav composition Clare de Lune, so full of emotion.

I love Chopin's Impromptus and Nocturnes... Saint Saen "The Swan". I also do love the Sense and Sensibility Soundtrack. Section Quartet does some awesome takes on modern songs but in a classical format.

I've been a big fan of the musanim project ever since I saw it on an Arts channel a few years ago. I've thought about getting their DVD's as gifts to my friends with kids, but I'm not sure if they'd find it as enjoyable as I do.

I love Debussy. And Erik Satie.

Lately I've been very into Chopin. I'm back in my hometown, maybe it's because I'm feeling nostalgic? Chopin is perfect for that.
